History

In 1996. A group of Bengali Families, residing in Queens New York, assembled together with a mission to recreate and promote rich, cultural heritage of Bengal.

The Group felt what could be better than celebrating the Autumn Festival – Durga Puja and Dashera together, communicating the universal message of triumph of good over evil.

This heartfelt wish provided the seeds towards formation of New York Puja Association (NYPA). Since then, NYPA has grown, blossomed, and today, it is one of the most rich and cultural Bengali Association in Tri-State area.

At New York Puja Association (NYPA), we encourage and invite individuals and their families to join NYPA, and participate in various religious and entertainment program.

Join and let make NYPA one of the landmark organizations in U.S.
